Before You Begin
Ensure the sensor is within 3 ft. of the LINK Programmer and that the tire is inflated to at least 20 PSI. Sensors ship in shipping-mode and only wake when they detect > 3 PSI internal pressure.
Pairing Steps
- Open the Installer app and select the target asset.
- Tap the wheel position (e.g., 'Steer-LF').
- Hold the LINK Programmer within 1 in. of the sensor valve stem.
- Press and release the PROGRAM button. The programmer chirps once when the sensor ID is captured.
- The app displays the sensor serial, current PSI, and temperature within 5 seconds.
Common Pairing Failures
- No chirp on PROGRAM press — sensor is likely still in shipping mode. Momentarily deflate to 0 PSI and reinflate.
- 'Duplicate sensor' error — the sensor is already paired to another asset. Use 'Release Sensor' from the fleet console.
Confirming Assignment
After pairing all positions, drive the vehicle at ≥ 15 mph for 2 minutes. The Pulse Gateway will publish a full baseline snapshot to the cloud.
